It has been a little while between drinks on the travel front, but this trip is surely going to be one of adventure, I am taking the opportunity to move overseas and doing what many people dream of, buying a one way ticket and travelling without an end date.

Life can sometimes be stressful, and it is important to take pause and evaluate whether you are where you want to be.  For me this was forced late in 2015 where I took the counsel of a few friends and decided to join them in Vietnam, unbeknownst to me this would be the spring shot that would allow me to pursue one of my life dreams, to live overseas.

As a consultant I am intrigued by the way decisions are made and looking back on that night in December I realise that sometimes you need to live in the moment, and make that decision that you will appreciate for the rest of your life.

I am leaving large parts of my trip unplanned and going where the wind takes me so to speak with a month in Vietnam and some time in Thailand before flying over to Europe to ‘conquer’ some of the undiscovered east.  The end goal at this stage is to settle in London but the beautiful thing about travelling is you never know what may happen.

I hope you will enjoy reading my adventures as much as I enjoy writing them.  My personal trip reports are a littler longer but hopefully enough the whet your appetite to come and experience them for yourself.  I have set up a email subscription if you want to stay up to date that you can find here otherwise enjoy reading my articles, I would love to hear what you think so feel free to leave me any comments or send me an email to stories@travellyf.com .
